Into/Out of the Sunset by MJM Dance
Choreography: Megan J. Minturn in Collaboration with the Dancers
Live Music by: Jean Mary Brignol
Into/Out of the Sunset explores the history and community of Sunset Park through movement. The piece looks at the changes experienced by the park itself and the experiences and perceptions of the people who have lived within the neighborhood.
To José
Choreography: Maira Duarte, in collaboration with Jee Yun Hong
Performing: Jee Yun Hong and Maira Duarte.
To José is a site specific piece inspired by the legacy of José Limón, pioneer of modern dance in New York City. The piece plays with the notions of past and present events and people colliding in the same space and time.
